Cracking Open a Geode
- Monthly Educational Add on: You can enhance your visit with the educational theme of the month (link to events month by month) and then as you tour the cave you will learn more about that theme, and get a natural souvenir to take home. Themes include Crystals, Rocks, Minerals, Fossils, Gems, Geodes, and more! Become a Keys to the Cave member and come every month so you learn about them all!
Collect a rock, a mineral, and a fossil along the cave tour! Anyone who wants to join can for an extra $2 charge per person when buying a ticket. This includes a reusable cloth bag, and a few different rocks that you will receive throughout the cave!

*Note: Guest must buy tour ticket to join. Nothing you collect is from the cave itself as the cave is protected as a National Natural Landmark.
Don’t be afraid of the dark – join us for the month of October for HOLLOW-een at Cave of the Mounds! Anyone who wants to join can for an extra $3 charge per person when buying a ticket. This includes a reusable cloth bag, crystals/fossils that you will get in a trick-or-treat style throughout the cave!
